ZERO TO HERO

From beginner to confident skipper.

No sailing experience?

No problem.

Our Zero to Hero course is designed for people who want to go beyond a unique sailing experience and learn how to sail and skipper a yacht.

You will live aboard our 43-foot sailing yacht, learn the theory you need, and spend your days putting that knowledge into practice around the islands of Palawan.

Fastrack to IYT International Bareboat Skipper Certificate. Duration: 2 sessions of 5 days/4 nights onboard separate with 2 days/3 nights off onshore.

Maximum 2 students - Private cabin - 2700 euros per person

What is Zero to Hero?

Zero to Hero takes you from the fundamentals of sailing to the skills required to skipper a cruising yacht.

As your confidence grows, so does your responsibility on board.

You will practise manoeuvring, navigation, sail trim, anchoring and decision-making in real sailing conditions.

The goal is not simply to pass a test.

The goal is to understand what you are doing and become a confident sailor.

What makes our Zero to Hero different ?

Only two students

You won't be one of eight people sharing the helm.

With a maximum of two students, you get much more time to practise and much more individual attention.

You live aboard

You learn what cruising is really like.

Cooking, sleeping, navigating, anchoring, sailing and looking after a yacht are all part of life on board.

Real sailing miles

You don't learn everything by sailing around the same bay.

You will travel between islands and build experience over real passages.

Learn by doing

Theory matters.

But sailing is a practical skill.

That's why we put you on the helm and let you learn through experience.

Is Zero to Hero right for you?

This course is for you if:

  • You have little or no sailing experience.
  • You want to learn properly rather than simply take a sailing holiday.
  • You are interested in eventually chartering or owning a cruising yacht.
  • You want an internationally recognised sailing qualification.
  • You enjoy learning through practical experience.
  • You are comfortable living aboard a yacht.

You don't need to arrive knowing how to sail.

You just need to be ready to learn.

Certification

The course follows the requirements of the IYT International Bareboat Skipper pathway.

Your instructor will guide you through the required theory and practical skills.

Certification is subject to successfully completing the required training and assessment.
